Legacy Christian Academy develops godly character in our students through our Christian sports program. Students may participate in track and field, football, volleyball, basketball, and baseball. The Lion’s Sports Program invites non-Legacy students to participate. Go Lions!

Track and Field

Legacy’s track and field team is open to 4th through 8th grade students.  The team starts training in early Spring on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.  Events include sprints (100m, 200m, 400m), longer distances (800m, 1500m, 3000m), hurdles, long jump, and shotput.  The team participates in several area meets, with opportunities to advance on to regional and state meets.

The Lions’ High School tackle team plays through (CCIF) California Christian Independent Football which allows any Christian student who is home schooled 51% of their day and is 13-18 years of age to participate. This allows Christian students who meet our criteria from other home school programs (Valley Oaks, HERC, Inspire etc…) to play on our teams.

4th through 8th grade boys at Legacy may participate on the flag football team.  Games are played against schools including St Francis, OLPH, Heritage, and Stockdale Christian.  Practices start in the fall with games starting in late September/early October.

The Lions’ High School Basketball team competes through California Home School Sports. CHSS allows non-Legacy homeschool students who meet LCA criteria to participate on the Lion’s team. Practices begin in January with games beginning in February.

4th-8th grade students play in the CAL League Basketball league, with practices beginning in January.  Practices are typically twice per week with games once per week.

The Lion’s High School Volleyball team plays through the California Home Schools Sports. CCHS allows non-Legacy home school students who meet LCA’s criteria to participate. Practices begin in August with games beginning in September.

4th – 8th grade girls may also participate on one of Legacy’s volleyball teams.  Games are played against schools including St Francis, OLG, Valley, Heritage, and St Johns.  Practices are typically twice a week with games beginning in September.

Legacy baseball and softball are open to Legacy students ages 13-18.  Practices and games are held in the Spring.
