Legacy Christian Academy educates the WHOLE child. LCA students participate in Art, Music and Physical Education, taught by professional educators, as part of their regular academic program each week. Enrichment classes are taught within a Biblical Worldview and offer a unique opportunity to develop godly character while learning a new skill.
Legacy Christian Academy produces college worthy students through our unique program and University type schedule. 6th-12th grade students attend professional in-class instruction 3 days per week on campus; K-5th grade students attend 2 days per week. On off campus days, students are taught by co-teachers (parents) in their “satellite” classroom at home. Legacy equips our co-teachers with ongoing training in our core subjects: English, Science, History, Mathematics, and Technology.
Art, Music, & PE
Art, music, and physical education are taught weekly at Legacy. In art, students work with various mediums to develop skills in artistic expression. They learn the elements of art as they explore the works of historical artists. In music, students are exposed to the concepts of music including note reading, mapping, and vocabulary. Physical education exposes students to the importance of living an active life. It provides a great forum for working on godly character as they play and compete with other students.
Legacy students have the opportunity to participate in enrichment courses including Adventure Leadership, American Sign Language, Animation, Biblical Studies, Business Entrepreneur Lab, Drawing, Edible Education, Graphic Design, Leadership Academy, Painting, Photo & Film, Robotics, Spanish and Watercolor.
Legacy’s extra-curricular activities give students the opportunity to develop talents alongside their peers. They can share their love of music as part of the Legacy’s select choir, show off their design skills with the VEX Robotics team, or play their favorite instrument with the Legacy Worship team.
